According to a USA Today article today (below) 9% of the book market is now using e-readers. This begs the question as to if we in education should embrace this trend. Is it just a fad? Or do ebooks offer any advantages over print?

I can see positives and negatives to the issue. The positives that I see are: reduced book prices, a media they are comfortable with, better for the environment, and easier to keep books updated. The negatives relate to the business side of publishing, and students who don’t have access to a reader/computer at home.
